The Iran Cyber Dialogue (ICD) is a global community of key stakeholders advancing civil society goals and digital human rights in Iran. The ICD offers opportunities for shared learning and collaborative activities year-round - both virtually and in-person - to support and sustain long-term relationships and positive change.
ICD Programming
- In-person events: ICD in-person events bring together participants from tech, civil society, media, and government to pool resources in support of Iranian civil society goals. The Annual Gatherings feature action-oriented collaboration on timely topics and plenty of networking opportunities. And the Tech Convening provides a space for technologists to dive deeper into internet freedom challenges and solutions.
- Online Sessions and Workshops: ICD holds monthly online sessions to introduce new tools, resources, and collaboration opportunities within and beyond the community. The webinars are co-hosted by community members to showcase relevant projects and share knowledge and opportunities with participants.
- ICD Fellowship Program: The ICD Fellowship Program aims at engaging new leadership in the ICD community, through collaborating with host organizations to support fellows in the undertaking of new ideas and initiatives. This is done with the intention of contributing to practical solutions to civil society issues in Iran. The goals of this program are: to contribute to a practical, actionable solution (or the development of a resource) to issues facing civil society in Iran; to stimulate new leadership in the ICD community through training and capacity building; and to encourage community-led knowledge sharing, and the deepening of community collaboration.
- Community Wellness and Care Program: With persistent pressures and risks associated with human rights work in Iran, many of the ICD community members are exposed to emotionally stressful situations or traumatic experiences. This leads to burnout, interpersonal conflict and other negative impacts on well-being and work. The ICD Community Wellness and Care program, informed by our community-wide assessment, was launched in April 2023.
