Rouhani Meter

Launched in 2013, Rouhani Meter was the first promise-tracking platform. By providing accessible and reliable information on the Rouhani administration’s commitments, the project aimed to strengthen Iranians’ capacity to hold the government accountable. While the project came to an end as Rouhani handed over the presidency in 2021, the promise-tracking efforts and results have continued to shape what government accountability could look like in Iran.
